AUXILIARISTS: NEED A COASTIE?
HERE’S HOW TO GET ONE—FAST!

How to arrange for an appearance by Coastie for your unit or for a community organization in your area:

1. Fill in all the information blanks and click on SEND just below the form. (Note: Only a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary may request an appearance by Coastie. If you’re from a Coast Guard unit or a community organization, you must ask a member of the Auxiliary to request Coastie for you.)

2. As a follow-up, send a separate e-mail message to the Coastie Coordinator, Christie Holland, at chhollan@verizon.net, telling her that you’ve sent in the form and providing her with your contact information. This is just to make sure that we get your request. Christie’s phone number is 301-482-1233 or 301-335-1468.

3. To find a Coastie operator, contact your Flotilla or Division Commander, who will provide you with a list of Coastie operators in your Sector. Then contact a local Coastie operator to arrange for a Coastie in your Sector for your event. If you should encounter any difficulty, please contact me and I will assist you. We’ll also make sure that the Coastie robot is in good shape mechanically.

4. Auxiliarists who have been designated as Coastie operators will be responsible for preparing Coastie for the appearance, picking up and trailering the robot to the site of the event, and returning Coastie to its assigned storage-place. Authorized custodians of Coastie robots will check over the robot after each use and report any problems.

Enjoy Coastie!
